On Wednesday, 2 April 2025, PCYC ACT had the honor of hosting Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia and proud Patron of Canberra PCYC, at their main ACT office. The visit was a powerful and inspiring moment, as young people had the chance to share their stories, aspirations, and challenges with someone who is deeply committed to community, inclusion, and youth empowerment.

Her Excellency took a moment to acknowledge the invaluable support of Canberra Rotary Clubs and The Snow Foundation, recognizing their unwavering commitment to the PCYC mission. She praised their generosity and belief in second chances, which enables PCYC to continue delivering life-changing programs that give young people a sense of belonging and opportunity.

A collaboration led by the Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin, alongside Gungahlin, Hall, Belconnen, and Ginninderra Rotary Clubs, has resulted in remarkable new resources for PCYC ACT. Thanks to additional support from The Snow Foundation, PCYC now has access to a people-mover van, a mobile food preparation trailer, and a lawn mower trailer—all of which will help expand their community impact.

With this ongoing partnership, Rotary in the ACT remains dedicated to supporting PCYC’s vital work—ensuring young people have the resources, encouragement, and opportunities they need to build a brighter future.
